The Children's Place follows the Denton ISD calendar as closely as possible. We follow the same holiday and break schedule as DISD, with the exception of a few dates that families will be notified of ahead of time. A calendar of specific dates including early releases, planned school closings, special events, and more will be provided to our families at the beginning of each semester.

Extended Day Options and Enrichment Opportunities
Stay-n-Play
- Each day (from 11:45am-12:45pm) children enrolled in our 2's, 3's, 4's, and Pre-K classes may attend this extended day option (prior sign-up is required). When their regular class is dismissed, a teacher will walk the students to the kitchen in the Recreation Building. The students will eat a lunch from home and then have playtime in the gym or the playground.
- NO NUT products are allowed in lunches due to severe allergies that afflict some of our students.
- Sign up for this program will be sent via email each Friday for the upcoming week.
- Payment for this program will be billed at the end of each month for the days that your child stays.
- Spaces are limited in order to maintain required teacher-student ratios.
Afternoon Book Club
- Our literacy-based enrichment program focuses on the many different styles of children's literature selected from The Children's Place library. Activities are based on the theme, characters, and setting of the weekly literature selections. Daily activities include but are not limited to gross and fine motor play/games, puzzles, arts and crafts, cooking, and more.
- Book Club begins at 12:45pm each day and ends at 2:15pm.
- Book club students must first attend Stay-n-Play from 11:45am-12:45pm, with the exception of our Kindergarten students.
- Children must be enrolled in our 3's, 4's, Pre-K, or Kindergarten classes to attend; children must also be potty-trained.
