Snack
The Children's Place preschool will provide a daily, healthy snack to all classrooms. A snack menu will be posted weekly on the parent communication board in each building.
Parents who bring their child's snack from home accept responsibility for its nutritional content. A signed statement will be required if you choose to provide your child's snack.
Parent-Teacher Communication
Teachers are available at the beginning and end of each day for brief updates on your child's school experience. We also have Parent-Teacher conferences in the Fall and Spring semesters.
Parents can also watch for calendars, newsletters, emails, classroom postings, and flyers. All of these methods of communication are used by the teachers and staff in order to provide information about school-wide events, classroom happenings, policy changes, and other helpful information.

Inclement Weather
The Children's Place will be closed when Denton ISD is closed. Check www.dentonisd.org for school closings. We will also send an email as well as update our Facebook page in the event of a closing or unplanned early release due to weather.

Health and Safety Procedures
- All our doors are locked after drop-off and remain locked throughout the day.
- Each teacher carries a first-aid kit in and out of the classroom to ensure that quick care can be given if needed.
- All children will be signed in and out of the classroom only by a guardian and/or other approved adult listed on the emergency contact form. Copies of these forms are kept in the office as well as with each classroom teacher.
- We ask that you keep your child home from school if he/she has had a fever, vomiting or diarrhea, rash with fever, mouth sores with drooling or changes in behavior in the past 24 hours. You will receive a call requesting your child be taken home if they experience any of the above-mentioned symptoms during the school day.
- New Covid-19 policies have been put into place as required by child-care licensing. Increased daily sanitation along with limited interaction between classes are just a few of the things that will look a bit different this year.
